Vetrofond Extra Light Olive?

I may have missed something here.  The label on the rods says they're Vetrofond extra light olive and, in fact, the unworked rods ARE extra light olive.  When I work them they go pinkish beige with a heavy coppery reduction that reminds me of Picasso finish on Czech glass.  My old batch didn't do this but I'm at a loss as to why.  I do like the color but it wasn't what I was expecting.

It does work great for bunnies!

Randomness

I've been playing around with the idea of working lampwork into chainmaille and so far this bracelet is all I've been able to come up with.  It isn't to be worn--it's made with practice links I mangled.  The design needs work.  I'd like to do round segments of chainmaille but haven't learned that pattern and haven't been able to figure it out yet.  The original design idea was to do 5 rows, working the lampwork into the center, but that didn't work out as the glass links are too thick, or alternately, the holes are too small.
These turned out just as I'd hoped.  This shade of red is my absolute favorite color and I love the way the shapes turned out.

Seasonal madness continues but I renew my promise to myself to pause and look around once in a while.
